Back in July, 2012 Steampunk Canada partnered with Mechanist Games for a key giveaway for their alpha testing of City of Steam.  You can read all about it HERE

City of Steam is now heading into Closed Beta and they have asked us to work with them again. Testing will begin on November 16th. They have given us 50 keys to give away to our members!

Beta testing is fantastic!  They have worked out the major bugs that showed up in the alpha testing and added more goodies for you to enjoy.

Between November 16th and December 28th, testing will be divided into 4 seasons:

Springtide (November 16th to 20th)

Summercrest (November 30th to Dec. 4th)

Autumnwane (Dececember 14th to 18th)

WinterFestival (December 23rd to 28th)

The beta keys are applicable for all 4 Beta phases, which means players don't have to grab a new one for follow-up tests.  You can just play and play and play....

Lightweight – No massive download or install required

Full Featured – Content you would expect from a AAA MMO, but all easily accessed from a browser

Also, with enough community support, both from financial and social networking sources, Mechanist Games will add bonus features to the game. Features planned for Open Beta will be implemented in Closed Beta instead! Check out the Steam-o-Meter for progress and more information.
