I am headed for the UK and Europ shortly,  dose any one know of any festibles or events worth  seeing across the pond ???

There are a number of events going on in the UK.   If you are on Facebook there is a group called British Steampunk Community and they list all of the events going on there...and there are quite a few.

If you happen to be in North America come the first weekend of September, and you don't mind wandering south, there's a huge con in Atlanta, Georgia. It's called DragonCon. When I went three years ago, pirates dominated. Two years ago, I didn't notice a particular theme come to the fore. But last year it was steampunk, hands down.


It's a fun con with a solid alternate history track, but if you're coming, I'd suggest you bring a friend. With tens of thousands of people milling about the four convention hotels over the extended weekend, it's easy to get lost.
