Just another interesting article from the BBC describing a search for donations to build a full-scale, working model of Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine. Designed in 1837, it would be the first complete model of the Engine, described as a "truck-sized prototype computer", and powered completely by steam. I've included the link below: | |
