About Me

I am a descendant of the Macleod of Assynt and Ardvreck. My family has 4 castles and 1 contested castle which my infamous cousins and most common in all of Canada, the MacLeod of Harris and Dunvegan, continue to fight over. The now pile of rubble Castle Dunscaith on Skye. My family line lost everything in 1650. I have been slowly trying to repair the family line for my dad since only the one MacLeod of Assynt, Alexander MacLeod, came from the Isle of Raasay to Cape Breton with the MacLeod Exxodus in the early 1800's. All MacLeod in Newfoundland are Assynt, and all my cousins, aunts, uncles, they just do not know it since only 1 MacLeod of Assynt went there. By law I hold a title. It is contested. I am the 20th lady of Ardvreck and my brother is the 20th lord, lord Peter the 3rd of Assynt and Ardvreck. Eventually he will be the 20th chieftan if we can prove the line.

You know I use to do only livng history faires with very strict rules. I have a 1420 Apothicary outfit for the black plague era to teach the public what religion and the plague did to women. Some say 1m died because the pestilence or black death killed mostly men and in turn forced the women to do their jobs. It took 200 years for England to fully recover and during that time the men complained that the women were doing their work. The pope naturally said it was unnatural, and the witch hunt began. A female apothicary or doctor of the time was the first to go. the problem is people began to take the outfits too seriously. It lost its fun. I also have a 1650 court dress for my family line but I really do not like court stuff much. Steampunk isn't historically accurate. It is about poking fun at the victorian era. For once I found something where I can get away from real life
