Steampunk Canada

Tie up Your Dirigible and Visit for a Spell

Please Welcome...

Steampunk Canada has grown by leaps and bounds since it started just over two years ago.  It is a place for steampunks across Canada to share their love of this genre, community... whatever idiom one would like to give it.  It is also a place where we can share with you new steampunk movies, art, games, and literature (a lot of literature).  Which is why I would like you all to say hello to two new reviewers for Steampunk Canada.

While I will still be doing the majority of reviews,  the pile of books sent to us for review has grown to the danger of crashing over and killing one of our pets.  Both of our new reviewers have the perfect backgrounds for this task and happily accept the challenge. In the future, we will also have a special guest reviewer or two on occasion to spice things up.

without further ado...

Meredith Weinhold (Steampunk Canada member Mredydd)

Interested in steampunk even before ze knew there was a word for it, Mredydd has been involved with Steampunk Ottawa for multiple years. A voracious reader, Mredydd studied an officially unrecognized, but singularly enjoyable quantity of English literature in university, and is periodically a panelist on steampunk fiction workshops.

Patrick Gilliland (Steampunk Canada member PatG)

Patrick Gilliland is an unrepentant reader. He always has several small pyramids of books being read scattered about the house. While studying literature in university, he developed a like for Victorian novels and a dislike for Victorian poets. Currently his tastes run to 19th century history, traditional cookbooks and of course steampunk. When not reading or thinking about reading, he can be found in his man cave painting little lead martians. He denies responsibility for any pew pew or kerpow noises emanating form said edifice.

You can look forward to their first reviews quite soon!
