Steampunk Canada

This year, Ad Astra will be commencing on April 9th, and ending on April 11th (located at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites).

Of note for the steampunk genre is a "Masquerade" (a fashion show) for novice, hobbist & professional costume and clothing designers. Awards are available for different categories. Also, there will be some artisans from the steampunk community as vendors (Neverwares being one).

I don't speak for the Toronto Steampunk Society, but I do believe it was mentioned on their Facebook page that they will be attending, and will be manning a booth; can this be clarified/verified?

Hello, Ms. Beale, a please to see you here. I am on the Ad Astra committee, in a minor capacity, and I do believe the Toronto Steampunk Society will have a table at the convention to promote themselves beyond the confines of their Facebook page.

I believe there will also be some steampunk programming at the convention, and the masquerade has always been a fun time.

In fact, I hope everyone will come to this convention...this is the 29th Ad Astra, and next year's 30th Ad Astra should be quite the celebration.

I'll be attending the Ad Astra con as well. Being one third of Neverwares artistisans it behoves me to as we have spoken for two spots. Awaiting confirmation, as our letters have been posted but not received. I'm looking forward to being able to put faces to what are just names for now.

I would love to come, but I am, sadly, all the way across the country at the time. Curses!

I'm very much hoping to attend. 

The TSS will indeed have a fan table at Ad Astra, and many of us will be in attendance!

It's now three weeks out or so...I'm hoping for a great turnout from all steamp;unk groups in the GTA!

Does anyone know the best way to contact the administration of Ad Astra? I know I'm asking pretty late in the game but I'd sure love to hook them up with some free press.
