I was doing some investigations, and managed to find home where the front page parlour picture was taken.

Several other amazing pictures as well.

Thank you Jim.  Good work!

That is a beautiful home.  How I wish it were mine.

This discovery leaves a few questions to be answered as to the site's ability to use of the photograph.

The \originating web site isn't claiming any ownership of the images, so long as the image isn't being hot linked from that site I don't see how Steampunk Canada would be doing anythong outside of fair use.

The photographer owns the photo [ie art work]. Any use of an image [art work] with out the express permission of the artist is not legal in so many ways. Also you are treading on thin ground using the photo of someone's home with out their permission. Last but not least just because you can't find the owner of the image it does not mean you have any license to use it. I'd strongly suggest that the image be removed until such time as permission is received to use it.

I concur with Isabel. Do we have a way of e-mailing or telephoning this person to ask for permission?

The photographer was a real estate agent. The property is now delisted. (sold)

I have emailed the owner of the website where it was found and have asked permission to use the photo.  We will see what their response is.
