Hello thar, as I am about to shift my point of residence from the good old Fatherland of Germany to the picturesque scenery of Niagara Falls, I am most intrigued wether the general Ontario area holds ready some interesting past time activities other than conventions and meeting. In my special case, I am looking for LARPs, be they steampunkey or a bit more dire, if not apocalyptic. Awaiting input from those of you folks that are in the know and with most sincerely spoken greetings,
Chris DeLaCross. | |

I don't know of any StP LARPs in the area at the moment. I do know several people who participate in White Wolf/Camarilla/World Of Darkness LARPs (Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, etc.) in London, Hamilton, and Toronto -- if you are interested you can send me your email address in a private message and I'll pass it on.

I just posted in General Discussion the idea of homebrewing a steampunk rpg, but man, what about a steampunk larp? Its not like we don't have a tonne of working toy guns lol

would anyone be interested in a steampunk larp in the Toronto area, if we sat down and formulated the hows and whys etc? I keep thinking about the idea and would love to hammer it out via the forums. I'm not imagining a masquarade style larp, where its more talky talky, but rather a mixture of talk and world npc driven campaigns that do encourage combat (Think underworld LARP).

I'm probably beating a dead horse here lol. But seeing as its a slow sunday, I've just been dickering around in the aether of the internet scrying all sorts of things. If anyone really is serious about this idea, I think we could use an outdoor airsoft or paintball field for our goals. The right dollar sign would make it work.

I don't know if this is dead but I hope that I can rekindle the flames in this little corner of the forums. I would be willing to partake in a steampunk LARP. There is an area in Barrie called the Tiffin Conservation Area that A group and I run Shadow Realms (A mid evil LARP) and the place MIGHT be willing to listen if we had enough members. Just a thought but it might be worth it...
