On Saturday, January 28th, the Ottawa Goth Syndicate is organizing a shopping gala called "The Aftermath" which is part of the "Red Death Masquerade & the Aftermath" weekend event. The event will go on between 1 PM and 9 PM and is open to All Ages. Entry fee is $2 or free if with Masquerade's proof of purchase. The event will be held at the Kent Street Legion's Sergeant Garrison Hall (2nd Floor) at 330 Kent St.

So far, we have five vendors confirmed and they are:

  • Liisa Ladouceur - Author of Encyclopedia Gothica / Rue Morgue who will be selling and signing copies of Encyclopedia Gothica.
  • Ottawa Horror - Started in 2008, Ottawa Horror is an event listing, blog, and portal dedicated to all things horror in our Nation's Capital. If you are a filmmaker, musician, artist, or fan, this is the place for you.
  • Keepsake's Crafts - Keepsake's Crafts works out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Specializing in Recycled Mixed Media work: 4 X 4 and Postcard Art, Greeting Cards and other Pretty 'Was-Junk' Goodies. Our Motto: Reduce, Reuse and Redecorate. Using up as much 'junk' as we can... Striving to re-beautify with items that would otherwise go to waste.
  • Angelyques Trinkets - An eclectic mix of dark jewellery sure to compliment all types of apparel. Everything from earrings and necklaces to hats and crowns. Custom orders are still available for the Red Death Masquerade.
  • Isabelle St-Aubin - Artist selling her art.

New vendors confirmed:

  • Encephalon - Ottawa’s Encephalon unite an accessible and club-friendly sound with the outrageously dynamic vocals of bandleader Matt Gifford. Elements of the classic Canadian electro-industrial sound are woven together with futurepop melodies in a way you’ve never quite heard before. Whereas many albums become one-dimensional in their singleminded pursuit of the dancefloor, Encephalon’s debut "The Transhuman Condition" is remarkable for the depth and breadth of styles and ideas. Selling t-shirts and CDs.
  • Locustgirl Photography - A mystic hybrid between nature photographer and digital goth artist, famed for customed photoshoots and one of a kind mirrored art work. Most recently acclaimed and featured in Pink Panther Magazine.
  • Revel Dreads - Specializes in synthetic dreadlock extensions and falls. Using a mixture of tightly twisted traditionals with palm-rolled natural style dreads, Revel dreads are more textured but lighter than other falls. Extension services, custom orders and accent kits are also available!
