"Old King Cole was a merry old soul and a merry old soul was he. He called pipe, and called for his bowl, and he called for his fiddlers three." If you had asked me ten years ago where I would be now, I could not fathom my present life. Somehow I've become quite hobbit-like in my day to day routines. I am an outwardly happy person, enjoying good food (and sometimes drink), an occasional pipe, a fine tune, and especially good company.

My fandom had always been random, but through all of the seemingly unconnected speculative fictions there was a theme. For years I was completely unaware what that theme was or that it had a name. Eventually, I came to understand that while my sense of style and taste may have differed  from many around me, I was by no means alone.  There was a unified theory that contained my apparent madness. No longer quite so random; I now can say I am a Steampunk fanatic!
