About Me

Librarian, museum historical interpreter, re-enactor, steam-punk.

You'll find me tinkering away aboard the aetherographic and chronographic vessel Acadia in Halifax, helping to promote the questioning of history, literature, and industry with the Jules Verne society there.

Yes--big fan of the Museum of Jurassic Technology; in fact, I sent him (Mr. Wilson) a special letter inviting him to Nova Scotia. I was interviewed this week by a local reporter for CBC Radio, and we're getting lots of good press and tons of positive feedback. Hope you and/or friends can make it! In the meantime, we'll be adding more artifacts to the website as often as possible.

"What kind of re-enacting do you do?" asks PM.

Mostly mid-1700s, that being the most popular period(s) in Nova Scotia, but the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic gives me excuse and access to also play with first-person and costumed interpretation for the Regency, the late Victorian period, even the 1910s through the First War, fairly often.
