About Me

Why can Steampunk be associated with fitness? Well as a personal fitness instructor who believes that the best way to engage individuals in proactive a lifestyle is to appeal to their sense of humour and adventure.  Steampunk in my mind can assist with this.

Furthermore, the Secrets of Torqueadian Physica Prowess are firmly rooted in victorian fitness regimes and modern fundemental fitness principles - this may be defined as steampunk.

Torqueblade training is the end result of years of experimentation in arts of defence and expeditious fitness programs. Torqueblade is inspired by indian club training and medicine ball training made popular by the british military of the victorian era and tempered with modern understanding of Kinesiology.

The TorqueBlades are very impressive, and though you don't actually call them weapons, they would deter any would-be mugger ... Glad we are on the same side, my friend!

We still have Pneumatic weapons..They use compressed CO2, usually with small gauge lead projectiles called pellets, or polymer coated spheres containing water-based paint ...
Its even funnier now actually - but thank you for the clarification. Well I am glad that we are chatting now, perhaps the honorific of rat may still apply when you get to know me better (he, he, he ,he). Thank you Jebediah. I was reading your profile.

When I lived in Sault Ste. Marie ( on the Canada side, that is) we were also referred to as Border rats, but usually by those dearly departed who meant it as an insult

Sorry about that..... I think it was in reference to your comment about being a " Border Rat" No offense intended, it probably would have been funnier had it flowed within the thread.

Do you realize that in our present day, what with all the "accessibility"devices, automatic door openers, lifts and the like, there is practically nothing that would slow down a Dalek.. Good thing the Doctor is on our side.

I've been away hot air ballooning up the Congo.
A stray stork busted my flying device and left me dangling over a crocodile pond for a few hours.Egad where were the strong arms when I needed them?
I like your new avatar......

Hi Mike,
I did some training with the Royal Marines back in the '80s. What led you to Cranbrook? I know it's a beautiful area. Were you looking to get as far away from the sea as possible?

well this was an interpretation of a Charles Rennie Mackintosh painting done by Emily Shoichet here in Victoria. She's a busy gal, so you'd want to book your appt. ahead of time.
