Steampunk Canada

I am a fibre artist living in Barrie, Ontario. I love to knit, am learning to spin and weave and am always interested in trying new-to-me fibre art. I dabble in some paper art as well; Artist Trading Cards, art journals and well, whatever catches my eye! I recently also took up chain maille. It's fair to say I fall prey to the ooooh shiny syndrome quite often!

I've been interested in Steampunk for a while. I love the costumes, and am slowly working on using some of my skills to put some bits and pieces together. I'm hoping to find some events to check out as it's way more fun to have somewhere to wear a costume TO!

I'm currently on medical leave from my job which happens to be based In one of our local museums. The museum has really helped fuel my interest in steampunk with its wondful Victorian collection.
